Memorial Day

We had a fun willed weekend full of BBQ's, friends, family, and fun. On Sunday we had a BBQ and made whole made ice cream with Matt's Grandpas old crank ice cream maker. (This was a family tradition that Matt wanted to pass on to our children) We made strawberry ice cream and it was delicious. Claire helped Matt crank the ice cream. She loved it! You will notice that Claire is in her underwear.... it is very normal around our house. It is nearly impossible for us to keep clothes on her. I hope this stage ends soon. It drives me crazy.

Sleeping Beauty

Ok, so Addison will probably hate this pick when she is a teenager but I had to share it with everyone. Addison was taking an unusually long nap the other day so I went in to check on her and found this.......

she had taken off her own diaper and was a comfy as can be. Notice the potty on the sheet. It was so darn cute. I was cracking up!

We are back!

We are back from our trip to Maui. This was our first trip away from the girls and it went great. Matt's parents watched the girls while we were away and they all had a great time.

We left early Tuesday morning and I cried for the first five minutes after we left. I soon got over it and decided to enjoy my time away. From that point on Matt and I just truly enjoyed the time together. We talked, played UNO, ate great food, snorkeled a ton, and took in the rays. We had such a great time. By the time Sunday rolled around I was sad to leave Maui but so ready to see my babies. We took the red eye home on Sunday and were home when the girls woke up on Monday. Oh, and we got upgraded to first class on the flight home which was a major plus.

We are now home and back in the swing of things. We are both glad to be home as a family but hope to have another vacation away at least one time a year even if it is for a night.

UPDATE

It has been a crazy few weeks here. Claire and Addy were sick with pink eye, ear infections, and cold then Matt followed with a terrible stomach flu. Everyone is finally better (knock on wood). I have so many pictures to post today that I have been taking the past few weeks. So here goes...


We went to Sea World a few weekends ago. It was the first time that Addy has been really into it. They have the Sesame Street Bay of Play which she loved. She is an ELMO freak right now. It was really fun.






The girls have been loving dress up the past few weeks. It is so cute. I love that they are starting to really play together.

A few weeks ago we spent the day planting a vegetable garden. The kids love to water the garden and watch the plants grow. It is really neat. Lets hope they eat the veggies!

Today starts the official countdown until Maui. One week from today! YEAH! We are really excited but nervous to leave the kids. They don't really understand that we are leaving. I know they will have a great time and so will we.
