CLAIRE

Yesterday the girls and I were at Old Navy, as we were leaving Claire held the door open for me to get Addison and the stroller out the door then I heard her say, "I get that for you". She saw a woman with a double stroller coming out and wanted to hold the door open for her. It was so darn cute. I always tell her how nice it is when people hold the door open for us with our double stroller. It must have sunk in. I was so proud of her and told her how proud I was and she said, "youwill have to tell Daddy what I did." So cute!

Hawaii Here We Come!

So we finally did it. We planned a trip without kids! We have been waiting for Addy to turn one (since I nursed for a year) to go on a trip without kids and finally the other day after having sick kids for a week we booked a trip to Maui. Yes, a bit more than we expected but we got a great deal and it is one of our favorite places to go.We leave on May 12 and are staying through the 17th. We cannot wait!

Matt's parents (Mimi and Papa) are staying with the girls the entire time. I am sure that the kids will have a great time and be spoiled to death. I am also sure no matter what happens they will tell us that the kids were great so that we do not worry. This may be the last trip we ever take. (Cross your fingers)

I am really nervous to leave the kids but know that I desperately need some time away. I also know that this is something that Matt and I need. The only trouble is that every time that we have gone to Hawaii we get pregnant the week we get back! AHHHH. I can assure you that will not happen this trip or I will have Time put in the loony bin.

Hawaii here we come!

Easter

Last weekend we went up north to spend Easter weekend with my Dad and brother and sister and there families. We had a blast. All of the kids played so hard and really enjoyed playing with one another.

Saturday we hung out at my sisters and the kids jumped on there trampoline, colored eggs, and played. They had so much fun and were exhausted.

Easter Sunday we went to my Dads house and had an egg hunt, ate great food and hung out. The weather was great and the kids got to play outside all day.

We drove home Monday and the girls are still recovering. They keep asking when we are going back to visit. Thankfully we are going back in June!

Special Night

Last night I decided to take Claire out for a special girls night (just the two of us). I let her choose where we went and what we did. We started the night out at the Rainforest Cafe for dinner then headed to the merry go round, Disney store, visit with the Easter Bunny, Nordstroms for some new crocs, and ended the night with a special cookie. We had a blast! Claire was so well behaved and seemed so old. We sat at dinner and just talked. I felt like she had so much to say. It was one of the most special things that I have done with Claire. It is something that I plan to so with each of the girls once a month.

On the car ride home Claire said, "Mommy, thanks for the special Big Girl night. It was so fun. I love you." It melted my heart. It is something I would recommend to everyone!

End of the night with a giant cookie! YUM!!!

Zoo

Friday the girls and I packed up and headed to San Diego to meet one of my best friends Gina and her daughter Lily for a day at the zoo. We had so much fun. The girls played, visited animals, and hung out. Addy loved every minute of the day. Claire was more concerned with playing with Lily. So typical of the girls.

Over all we all had a great day! THANKS Gina and Lily. Lets do it again soon!

Fun Day

Today was a busy day. We started the day with a visit to my Grandmas house (she is 96 years old). Claire wanted to bring a picnic lunch to her so that is what we did. The girls had a great time visiting. They love going to her house because she has a ton of trinkets to play with. They had a blast.
When we got home Addy took a nap while Claire and I baked a cake. Claire LOVES to bake! She had been begging to bake a cake for the past week so I though this was the perfect time. Not to mention she was not going to take a nap.
After a long day Matt got home and we decided to go to this new build a burger place for dinner. It was really fun and they had GREAT burgers. It was a fun treat. The best part was I did not have to cook or clean.
When we got home the girls were wiped out and so was I. It was a fun and busy day. Tomorrow we are meeting my friend Gina and her little girl Lily at the San Diego zoo. They girls can't wait!
