Kids Talk

The past few days we have been around the house alot since we were all sick. There are a few conversations with the kids that were priceless....

Claire

C: "Mom do you think there is any way I could be on the naughty list?"
Me: "I don't know have you been good"
C: "Well most of the time but I can't be perfect"

Addy

Me: "Addy, what are you asking Santa for?"
A: "A water thing"
Me: "What is that"
A: "A water thing"
Me: "Where would you get it?"
A: "Santa will get it in his workshop"
Me : "Well what if he does not know what it is?"
A : "He does"

GOOD LUCK SANTA! We have been through catalogs and online and she wont even budge.

BUG

Well the time has come where all four of us got the stomach flu. YUCK! We are finally on the mend today. We are hoping for a vomit free night! The worst part of it is that Claire is missing her preschool holiday performance that they have been working on all year. She is so bummed. Hopefully tomorrow is a better day for us all:)

Many Blessings

Wednesday we had a very scary thing happen in our family. (The only reason I am sharing this is that this blog is something that I am going to print for my children as a memory of there childhood and I want this to be remembered as a blessing in our lives.) Claire, Addy, and I were on our way home from the park (Claire on her bike and addy in her buggy) Claire was ridding about five feet ahead. We were finally on our street when we saw our neighbor in his car in his driveway. He was taking with his mom with his window down so I told Claire to go ahead. The next thing you know he was backing up not looking and ran into Claire. I literally saw her life flash before my eyes. I SCREAMED so loud to stop and he stopped. Claire crawled out from the car and ran to our lawn screaming "I want my Daddy". I immediately made sure she was ok. I am not sure how she is ok but she went away from it with just a few black and blue marks and nothing else. She did have her helmet on (thank God). We are so very thankful that she is ok. I know alot of stories that do not end up so well. It has been a lesson to our family and many of our friends, family, and neighbors. Please be careful when driving and backing up. And please have your children wear helmets.

We are so thankful that our children are safe and healthy. That is the best gift of all!
