UPDATE

I have been meaning to do an update on the girls. So here goes....

Claire had her 3 year check two weeks ago and is in the 50% for height and weight and looks great. I was surprised how different the well checks are at 3 years of age. They checked her ears, eyes, balance and more. She did great and seemed so old.

Claire started her first dance class last week. This is the first time that I have not had to be involved in the class. It is really neat to sit and watch her as she takes direction and interacts with other children. It is really fun.

Addison started walking! YEAH!!!! She began walking on March 4th. I was kind of sad because my she started about two hours after my Dad left from his visit at our house. She is getting better and better everyday. It has gotten a lot easier since she is walking because it allows her to do a lot more with Claire.

Addy is also talking soooo much. She learns more and more everyday. She says "thank you" all the time. It is really cute. She also says, "big girl" after she does something she is proud of. I love this age because she is learning so much.

Both of the girls have cut down on there naps (poor me). Addison switched to only 1 nap a day. This is easier because now we can get out earlier in the morning. Claire has wanted to stop napping all together. This is sooo hard. It gives me no breaks. I would say she naps about 50% of the time. I do however make her have 45 minutes if quiet time in her room. Sometimes she falls asleep and sometimes she doesn't. I had no idea how much I enjoyed naps until I started loosing them. I am sure it is something I will get used to.

The girls are best friends. I love it! I look forward to the year ahead.

BIG BEAR WEEKEND

This past weekend we went up to big bear with our neighbors and friends (The Johnson's) and went sledding and played in the snow. It was a BLAST! The girls LOVED the snow and both loved sledding. They are both such dear devils. It was such a great trip. We got some great pictures for everyone to see. Hope you enjoy!

Claire's 3rd BIRTHDAY!!!

Claire's birthday was a HUGE success! She had such a great day!

The day started with Grampy waking Claire up for some playtime before indulging in some delicious donuts. Then we were off to a day at Disneyland. Claire loved having Grampy along at Disneyland to be her partner in crime on all of the rides. Then we ate at the princess cafe and off to ride more rides. After a fun filled day at Disneyland with lots of treats and surprises we went home for a nap. When Claire got up the downstairs was decorated Tinkerbell and she had all of her Grandparents and great Grandma over for pizza, presents, and ice cream cake. She had a great time. I think the best gift of all was having her Grandpy come down for her special day. They really hit it off and had a great time. She cried when we dropped him off at the airport today. Thanks to everyone for making this such a special day!

The BIG day is approaching

Tomorrow is the BiG day. Claire's 3rd birthday! She is soooooo excited. Now that everyone else has celebrated there birthday it is finally her turn (according to her). With Addy's birthday on Feb 28th, mine on March 1st, and Claire's on March 3rd it is two weeks FULL of birthdays. That is hard to swallow when you are three. Now it is almost her turn and she CAN'T wait.

My Dad is flying in from Northern CA for the big celebration and is arriving today. Claire cannot wait! We are not having a big party this year, just a day full of fun with the family. I cannot wait for the surprises ahead. I think she is going to have a great day. STAY TUNED!

OH! And thank you to everyone that made my birthday special. I had a great day with my family and just RELAXED. I got Great gifts including a vacuum that I have wanted for three years (I know it sounds crazy but I really wanted one). Thanks to my husband that did all my normal chores yesterday. It was great to have a break! It was a great day. THANKS!!!
