Little Vacation

Last week Matt came home from work on Tuesday and said that he may have to travel to Arizona for a meeting on Wednesday. He mentioned that it may be fun for us all to go and stay through the weekend. I immedatly jumped at the opportunity and off we went on Wednesday afternoon. (it may have to do with the fact that after having sick kids for 3 weeks I kept telling Matt "I just need a vacation!".)

We stayed at the Arizona Grand Hotel which was really fun. The girls and I played at the pool all day on Thurday and Friday while Matt was working. The hotel has a water park on the grounds that had two slides, wave pools, a lazy river, and kiddie pool. We spent all day Saturday and Sunday morning there. It was really fun. The girls thought it was great and Claire said she wanted to live there.

And some great news when we were away.... Addy finally got her first tooth on Thursday at 7 months. It is so strange how every child is so different. Claire got her first tooth at 3 months and had all of them by 7. CRAZY!

Thrusday night we went to the famous PIZZERIA BIANCO. It has been on the Food Network, Oprah, Wine Spectator, and more. As a must eat place. We waited for two hours to get in but it was so worth it. YUM!!!

FUN WEEKEND

HAPPY MONDAY!

After Addison being sick for most the week Matt and I felt it was important to do some fun weekend activities with the girls. Saturday we went to South Coast Plaza where they had a childrens fair. There was a gymboree class, art projects, and loads of kids. Then we had Saturday night movie night with Claire. We let her stay up an hour past bedtime and pop popcorn, eat treats, and watch a movie. She had so much fun. She felt really special to be able to do something with just us after Addy went to bed. I think we will make this monthy thing.

Sunday we took the girls to the beach at Montage hotel. It was so much fun to walk around and relax at the beach. We then ended the day at the park.

It was s fun filled and tiring weekend. Oh, and I forgot to mention that Claire did all of this with BID GIRL underware on. No more diapers for Claire!!!!

Sick Babies

We have been battleing sick kids for the past few days. Claire has been sick with a cold but is feeling much better today. Addison has had a fever since Wednesday and was feeling really terrible yesterday. It was so sad.

Yestarday we went to Mimi Sneakers (my Moms) to play in the morning. Then came home for a nap. Claire decieded yesterday that she did not need a nap. Not a good day to decide that since Addison was sick and cranky. So I decided to pull out all the toys in the family room and let them go to town. Addison descovered that she like to play the piano. It was so funny

Hopefully we are on the mend for the weekend!

On another note.... Potty training is going great! Claire only had one accident yesterday. We took the big step of wearing underware to Mimi Sneakers yesterday and Claire did great! Bye Bye diapers!!!

MILESTONES

MY TWO BIG GIRLS!!!

Addy hit a huge milestone the other day...... she is now sitting up. She is so pleased with herself. Now that she can sit up and play with toys. WOW she is growing up fast! I love it more and more every day.

She has also started waving when you say "hello". I caught it on camera the other day. SOOOO cute!

As for Claire... we are back on the potty trainging wagon. We had her almost completely potty trained and then made the big move and she regressed. We have started again and she is doing GREAT! As long as we do not put a diaper or pull up on her she will go in the potty every time. Our next big task is to go out in public with BIG GIRL UNDERWARE. YEAH!!!! It will be great to only have one in diapers.

HAPPY WEDNESDAY!

Yummy CUPCAKES!!!

Everyday I try to have an activity for the girls to do to keep them busy. I try and think of different things that they will not only enjoy but learn from. Today I decided to make cupcakes with Claire. Claire really enjoys baking. I think that although it tends to be really messy it is a great activity that we both really enjoy.

What was Addy doing while we were baking you ask??? Jumping in the jumparoo of course. We just put it together for here last night and she loves it!

Good News

First of all I wanted to let everyone know that we found out on Friday that Claire will not need to go through further tests for her UTI after all. The culture came back that there was just s slight infection so we would not need to worry unless she gets any further UTIs. Good News!

We decided to celebrate with a trip to Disneyland on Friday night with the girls. We have a season pass so it is really nice to go for a few hours here and there. It was empty so we did not have to wait in any lines for rides or visits with characters. It was great!

Claire seemed very interested in the princesses this time so we took a few pictures. It was so cute!

We had a great night and the girls were pooped!

HAPPY THURDAY

HAPPY THURSDAY!

Sorry that I have not blogged in a few days but I have been rather busy. Claire came down with a bladder infection Monday morning and we have been to the doctor everyday since. It has finally cleared up but it is only where the journey will begin. After meeting with the doctor today we found that she needs to go through testing at CHOC next month to make sure that everything is working properly. It is very rare to get UTIs under that age of 5 so they need to follow up with some tests. We pray that all will be ok and we will not have to do anything further. We will keep you updated. But as of now Claire is feeling and doing great!

As for Addy. She is becoming such a big girl. We had her 6 month well check last week and she is in the 75% for height and 50% for weight. She is going to be our little basketball player.

She is becoming so fun as she is learning to play with her big sister. They love to play with each other and Claire is so great with her. It makes having them close together all worth it.

Addy has also started solid foods. Pees, green beans, and pears are her favorites. She loves to eat!

One last thing.... HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to my wonderful husband of 4 years! I look forward to our nice dinner away tonight. And most of all I look forward to our journeys ahead! THANKS!!!

BIG girl bed

We finally did it! We bought Claire a BIG GIRL bed. We decided that when we moved into out new house we would give Addy all of the baby furniture and get Claire new big girl furniture. It is super cute. She looks so big sleeping in this huge bed. She is thrilled with it. Here is a picture of both the girls in the bed.
