WHAT A WEEK!

This week has been one of those weeks that you feel like you are never going to catch a break. It all started a week ago Thursday......

Thursday: We are at Addison's school harvest social when she starts to complaining that her tummy is hurting. After several attempts at the potty we decide to head home.We walk in the door at 8:00 pm and WHAM Addy starts throwing up all over the floor. I clean it up and send her to the third floor bonus room away from the rest of the family. She proceeds to throw up every 30 minutes until 4:30 am when I finally remember that I has some anti nasia meds that her doctor had given her when she had an allergic reaction to a medication. This stooped the throwing up and she was as good a new about 10 hours later.

Monday: I am vacuuming the floor turn my head for about 15 seconds and hear Kate screaming and choking. Run over to find she has opened under the sink, opened the Cascade tabs bag, and was eating one. Run over sweep her mouth as much as I could and called Poison Control. Thankfully she had only taken one bit and spit it out because if they eat a whole one it can actually burn the inside of their stomach. AWESOME! I later moved everything out from under the sink.

Tuesday: Drop both big girls off at school and head to Nordstom Rack to find family photo outfits for all of us. Found all five of us great stuff was heading to the line and Kate starts throwing up. I cup my hand over her mouth so it does not get on all the clothes then stick her head in the stroller, put all the clothes on the floor (unharmed by the barf) and head out. Go to the public restroom to try to clean us up to find I do not have extra clothes for Kate. Great! Took her down to her diaper found one of Addy's jackets to wrap her in clean myself up as much as I can and head home. Call Matt on the way home to pick the big kids up at school. Kate throws up all night. Call her ped to find that they take one week vacation a year ans close down and it happened to be this week (they are a small family group that is fantastic). Great! Call the other doc they leave on the message that is clueless. Try to wait it out as she throws up all night )she still had dry diapers and I was giving her pedialite). All ended in the morning. and she is better in a day. Worst 24 hours of my life. She did not let me set her down or sit down for two days and cried constantly. Heartbreaking! She is fine now. THANK GOD!

Wednesday: Matt has to leave work early again because he has to take to girl out trick or treating because Kate is still sick. Mind you this happens to be one of the crazy busy times of the year for him. What a trooper he was. He came home carved pumpkins and took them to the neighborhood party and trick or treating.

Thursday: Think we are in the clear. Everyone is feeling good and things are looking up. I take the  girls to soccer and I start feeling sick. I head home and I start throwing up. GREAT. I am sick all night.

Friday: Wake up in the morning super tired from being sick all night but can manage.  Matt takes Claire to school and has too head to work. He has a ton of meetings and deadlines that he has put off and can't any longer. I take care of the baby and Addy until Matt can some home. Matt goes to pick Claire up from school to find the stye on her eye that we had been treating for the week had blown up and she can barley open her eye (why the school never called is beyond me) It was HUGE! Matt takes her to urgent care. She gets her eye drained and put on two meds. Mind you my ped is still on vacation. Doctor says if it is not better by Monday to go see our doctor, She may need surgery. AWESOME!

Saturday: Everything is looking up! but my house is a mess, we have no food, and about 20 loags of laundry. Oh well, we have soccer games all day. Did I mention Matt is the coach for both girls?

Sunday: Everyone is feeling good head to a school fundraiser in the morning then a birthday party in the afternoon. Everyone is having a great time when all of a sudden Addy falls off a swing, falls back and hits her head and had blood everywhere (sorry Emily for all the drama at your party). Good thing a pediatrician was at the party and took a look and said she would be fine. She is in alot of pain tonight but I think we are going to make it.

It has been a week. I know it could be worse but I sure hope things settle down because I am tired, my house is a mess, I have no food, tons of laundry and have to head to the doctor with Claire in the morning because her eye is concerning me. I am grateful for my blessings but Mama needs a vacation:)


Sorry for the long post but I want this for my kids and myself to look back on someday as I hope one day I will laugh at it. Not today, but someday:)

Back Again!

I am back again! Here are some things that have happend......

Kate started crawling! She started crawlind the week she turned 8 months old. She is fast and into everything. She also started eating solid foods. She loves everything BUT string cheese. Oh well!
She has two teeth on the bottom which she got at 7 months. She smiles ALL the time. She is not the best sleeper but we are working in it. She also LOVES her big sisters.

First Lost Tooth

Claire lost her first tooth (a week later she lost the one next to it but I did not get that on film). She was so excited she called all her grandparents and my sister. She kept her tooth for one night. She was not ready to give it away. The next night she put it under her pillow and was so excited to find that the tooth fairy left her $5. Wow, can you believe my baby lost a tooth?

Proud Mama

Every month one Kindergardener from each class gets a "Character Counts" award. Last month Claire got it! She got the award for being the "caring". Matt and I could not have been more proud (so is she if you can tell by her giant smile). GO CLAIRE!

We had a baby Girl on January 6, 2012 (two weeks early)



Her name is Kate Elizabeth Kastelic

We love this little girl so much. We cannot remember our family without her. The girls love her so much. We are truly blessed!

Halloween Fun

This Halloween was filled with fun! Claire dressed up like Daphanie from Scooby Doo and Addy was a Strawberry Ballerina. They were both super cute.

The girls had a great time! They loved everything. Claire especially loved that Matt took her around the ENTIRE neighborhood trick or treating and she filled an entire pillow case. It was a great night but we are all wiped out!
